N30 Pickets & Rallies by Tower Hamlets Joint Trade Unions E1
When: Wednesday 30 November 2011, 8:00am
Where: Across the borough, Tower Hamlets E1
Picket lines, demos, rallies and leafleting will take place all over Tower Hamlets on the morning of N30 before strikers and supporters join the central London march from Lincoln’s Inn Fields. Most events will be held between 8am and 10am. All supporters welcome!
The aim is to stage a big visible picket on major arterial routes through the borough: Bow Rd, Mile End Road and Whitechapel; Roman Road and Bethnal Green Road; Poplar, Burdett Road and Commercial Road.
Picket and rallying points include:
Royal London Hospital - picket all morning, rally at 11am
Swanlea School, Brady St & Idea Store Whitechapel at 10am
Picket line at University of Nursing at Whitechapel
Mile End Hospital picket 7.45am to 9.30am
Pickets on Queen Mary university campus entrances along Mile End Rd
Mile End tube station - leafleting from 8am, rally at 10am
Pickets at Bow Road Connexions, Phoenix School and Central Foundation School in the morning - all on Bow Road
Bethnal Green Tube Station at 10am - rally
Chrisp Street Market, Poplar - rally at 10am
Protest by GP surgery staff on the traffic island at the junction of Commercial Road/E India Dock Rd/W India Dock Rd/Burdett Rd at 8.45 - 9.45am
Picket at Bishop Challoner School, Commercial Rd, all morning
