They’ve axed the budget for orthopaedic shoes for the disabled

My elderly mother-in-law has mobility and breathing difficulties as well as heart problems and diabetes. She is not having a good time of it becasuse she is also partially sighted . She gets sores on her feet and made a great effort to attend a podiatrist appointment at the local hospital. They said she needed orthopaedic shoes but their budget for this has now totally disappeared. So, she was told to go all the way back to the GP surgery to plead her case to get the necessary shoes from GP funds. All that effort to no avail- there’s no money allocated for this now.
