Patients and colleagues are worried about NHS changes
I have concerns around the number of staff who are currently leaving the NHS, in particular PCTs due to all the uncertainty since the release of the Government’s white paper.
The white paper in itself which states that PCTs will be abolished does not seem to have received positive feedback from many patients or colleagues I have spoken to who feel patient care and staff morale will be severely affected in a negative way.
There also seems to be no proof that the changes listed in the white paper will successful or better for patient care. On top of this the cost to implement these changes will be massive.
I am very concerned about my own future due to this ill thought out idea and have spoken to many colleagues who feel the same; the disregard shown to us by Mr Lansley has been appalling.
I would urge Mr Lansley and his friends to remember that they are in government only until the next election and people will remember what they are currently doing to the NHS and may not be so quick to vote for them again.”
