My mother has Parkinson’s Disease and depends on this marvellous charity
Testimony relates to: Syston Volunteer Centre
My widowed mother is housebound, lives alone and suffers from Parkinson’s Disease.Without the help of the Syston Volunteer drivers, she will find it very difficult to attend hospital and Gp appointments, or go to the opticians. In the past she has called upon them to collect a new prescription, or run an urgent errand They have always been very obliging and helpful. They have also arranged social outings and shopping trips for the elderly in the local area. It will be such a loss to our elderly and disabled people if this service ceases to exist. My mother’s condition restricts her dreadfully and to not have contact with these marvellous, caring individuals will add to her distress.
