Beyond a farce
When my partner went to do her assessment for Employment and support allowance what happened was nothing short of a farce.
She has bi-polar disorder and major social anxiety issues and further to that has a rare illness which causes her to pass out many times a day. Often collapsing in the middle of the street.
During the assessment, accompanied by her mother as she couldnt go alone, she passed out and her mother had to literally pick her off the floor and prop her up in the chair, then when she came around a minute later she had a serious panic attack and started screaming for help while her mother attempted to calm her.
With all that in mind…the jobcentre deemed her fit for work
