Cuts
Worcestershire NHS B98
Worcestershire NHS is has initiated a public engagement process proposing ‘Changes’ to Acute Hospital Services in Worcestershire. 6 ‘Models of Care’ have been published and the clear implication is that the Alexandra Hospital Reddtich which is already under resourced will face the axe of its Accident and Emergency and Maternity Services and may even face Complete Closure.
Thankfully, there has been a tremendous public reaction to the threat to NHS Service and a ‘SaveTheAlex’ Campaign launched in mid June has gained over 20000 signatures opposing any cuts to Services in just 3 weeks.
A public Rally outside Reddtich Town Hall on 2nd July 2012 was attended by over 200 people and recieved positive coverage on BBC Midlands Today News
A 2nd Rally will be happening tomorrow evening, 10th July at 5pm and we hope that more than 500 local people will attend.
