Update 23/1/12: Suffolk Respite is going to closed as from 31st March 2012.

Charity. Provides flexible short break respite services for family carers of people with mental health issues. Local authority funding cut: £58,195. Details: Received £226,000 in 2010/11; cut by £58,195 in 2011/12. 10% reduction on overall budget in 2011/12 plus further 25% of funding to be used to remodel carers services.

Suffolk Respite: Goodbye to a great service

Suffolk Respite is going to closed as from 31st March 2012.

This is a great service I have had the pleasure to recieve, the Staff are a lovely bunch of people who will be greatly missed. I need this service and the government is taking it away to pay for banking incompetence.
