Cuts
Rough sleeping and homelessness prevention advisors
Location: UK » National/non-regional
Sector: Communities and local government, Housing
The government decided to axe its rough sleeping and homelessness prevention advisors in July 2010. The eight advisors helped councils prevent homelessness and develop plans to cut rough sleeping.
The specialists were seconded to the Communities Department from other employers for two years, but at the end of that period the government decided not to extend or replace them.
