Park View elderly home CV34

Location: UK » West Midlands » CV
Sector: Social care

A report is going to Warwickshire County Council’s cabinet on 27th January 2011 recommending that Park View (a home for older people) should close in August 2012. It could be sold off to a private provider, or the council may set up a Joint Venture Company or social enterprise to run it, but it will not remain as a council run care home, even though the council’s report indicate that council run homes are more popular and higher quality than private sector homes. A consultation held with staff, residents and relatives showed a strong desire to see them kept in-house.

All the county’s Homes for Older People are recommended for closure – the first two would close in August 2011.
