NHS Lothian is cutting the equivalent of 733 full-time staff in 2010/11, which is 3.75 percent of the total workforce. The breakdown of the cuts is as follows:

Medical - 59 FTE (full-time equivalent staff); 3.5% of all medical staff
Nursing and midwifery - 333 FTE; 3.5%
Allied healthcare professionals - 53 FTE; 3.7%
Other therapeutic services - 17 FTE; 3.4%
Healthcare scientists - 38 FTE; 4.46%
Support services - 100 FTE; 4.8%
Administrative services - 124 FTE; 4.1%
Management - 9 FTE; 5.2%
