NHS Grampian is planning to cut the equivalent of 577 full-time staff in 2010/11, which is 5.1 percent of the total workforce. The breakdown of the cuts is as follows:

Medical - 10 FTE (full-time equivalent staff); 1.9% of all medical staff
Dental - 1 FTE
Medical and dental support - 6 FTE
Nursing and midwifery - 188 FTE; 3.5%
Allied health professionals - 28 FTE; 3.1%
Other therapeutic services - 11 FTE; 3.6%
Personal and social care - 2 FTE
Healthcare scientists - 14 FTE; 3%
Support services - 181 FTE; 11.7%
Administration services - 105 FTE; 5.8%
Management - 31 FTE; 19.5%
