Lochwinnoch Library PA12
Renfrewshire Council have voted to move Lochwinnoch Village Library out of its current location into the space currently occupied by the community run after school club. The children from the after school club are to be squeezed into the local school, which will in turn affect the after school opportunities for all local children. The library is currently housed in a 150 year old building which was gifted to the village by a local family. The council expects that the move will cost £80,000 excluding the cost of moving the childcare. The council expects to save £15,000 per annum so it will take nearly five years to break even.
