Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust plans to cut the equivalent of 118 full-time staff between 2010 and 2015 through natural turnover.

The breakdown of the cuts is as follows:

Nursing - 49 FTE (full-time equivalent staff)
Support workers - 10 FTE
Scientific and professional staff - 6 FTE
Senior managers/administration & estates - 48 FTE
Ancillary staff - 5 FTE

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital is one of the largest heart and chest hospitals in the UK. The Trust also provides specialist services across the North West of England, including North Wales and the Isle of Man.
