Harbourne adult care home BD6
Bradford Metropolitan District Council plans to shut Harbourne adult care home as part of plans to withdraw from providing mainstream long-term residential adult care.
Harbourne, located in the south of the city, currently provides long-stay and short-stay dementia care and long-stay and short-stay care for those with functional mental health needs, rather than the mainstream care the council is seeking to withdraw from providing.
Nevertheless, the council plans to shut the care home and either find an alternative use for the site or sell it off.
The 26-bed home was rated ‘Excellent’ by the Care Quality Commission in 2010.
