Cuts
Camden adult care services
Camden Council is planning to cut funding for discretionary adult care services including some resource centres, luncheon clubs and small information advice and advocacy services.
The council will focus its resources on providing services to meet statutory needs and those of carers. It will continue to provide some discretionary services such as high level preventative services but ensure that the best use is made of this capacity.
The Council will signpost current discretionary services users who have no substantial and critical needs to more universal services to help them to access some support.
Some voluntary organisations which provide these services will not be viable without the council’s funding. The council will help providers find alternative sources of funding.
The proposals are subject to consultation.
