Bristol police community support officers

Location: UK » South West » BS

Bristol City Council is planning to reduce funding for police community support officers (PCSOs), which are co-funded with the local police force.

From an original team of 132 PCSOs, seven vacancies were left unfilled during 2010, while two additional vacancies are expected by March 2011. This will reduce the size of the team to 123 PCSOs, who will remain in post across the city, deployed in high crime areas.
