Joint strike by Tower Hamlets NUT and UNISON against £70m+ in cuts and services, 500+ job losses and the deletion of provision to some of our most vulnerable children and adults.
Teachers and council workers are striking together on Weds 30th March.  We are building a united fight against redundancies and cuts.  Tower Hamlets is one of the poorest boroughs with the highest levels of child deprivation.  We are starting the fightback to defend our community.
There will be picket lines at schools and workplaces around the borough and most schools will be closed.
Campaigners, parents, members of the community and trade unionists are invited to come and join us at Weavers Fields (off Bethnal Gren/Derbyshire St) at 11am.  We will march through the borough to a rally at the London Muslim Centre, Whitechapel Rd at 12.30,  All welcome - bring family, friends and whistles!
Speakers include Christine Blower, NUT Gen Sec, Dave Prentis, UNISON Gen Sec (incited) and Mark Serwotka, PCS Gen Sec.
